We've had some REAL mild weather in Ontario this winter, and translated into Sam-e-ese, that means MUD! One of my brothers decided he would ROLL in the stuff and try to convince everyone that he was a SCHIPPERKE ... That's my story and I'm sticking to it."

"Ok, ok, ok, ok, OH KAY!!!!! There IS a Schipperke on the property. I admit it - satisfied? His name is "CROW", he's a pest and a nuisance and has NO manners. I think dad thought he could just slip him in casual like, and none of use "pure-of-spirit" type Sams would even notice. Well you can't pull a fast one like that on a smart girl like me! Alright he's kinda cute (but I'm cuter), and since I'll ALWAYS be bigger than him, I guess we can keep him - though he does have an annoying habit of popping up out of nowhere (BOO!!). I hear they are great rat dogs, though....

So the poor guy is just desperate to fit in so I'll take charge of showing him the ropes ... but first an official introduction:

As the day wore on Crow got a bit fresh, so I pawned him off on Heero for a while.

Heero said, "Boy, you got a thing or two to learn about being a SHOWDOG. Let me explain." ...

"The Vanderbilt's are known for their SIDEGAIT, so you'd best let us see what you got going for you. Hmmm, not bad for 11 weeks I guess but we're both real typey, so you're gonna have to be a SUPER movin' guy to beat me out for those big Baby Blue rosettes!!"

And so Crow's first day at Vanderbilt ended with a couple of valuable lessons. Heero is the guy you've gotta take out to be "Top Pup", and ... forget about being Top Pup because I, Iris, already has that one sewn up! Actually you're going to be hearing LOTS about BOTH boys. In the meantime I'll keep a close eye on the Crow beast and try to teach him some MANNERS before all the Sammies need PROZAC! This is Iris the Beautiful, signing off from Vanderbilt Fields ...
