November 1, 2002 - Club Canine Chomedey, Montreal, Qc - "Claire" (Ch. Snowghosts Vanderbilt So Easy) wins BPIG #37 under Maurice Tougas, and two Samovar "Roddy" sons win points - one point WD for Samovar's Fur Your Eyes Only (breeder/owner Myriam Mantle), and 2 pt BW for Samovar's Arctic Jewel at Inooka (owner Michel Badeaux ).
At Trillium Dog Fanciers, Toronto ON - "Fallon" (BIS Ch. Vanderbilt Plays The Field) wins BPIG #16 and Group placement #7 under Mr. Richard Beauchamp.
Also at Trillium Dog Fanciers, 3.5 month old "Rev" debuts at a Sanction Match, and struts off with a Group 1st!
Nov. 8/02 - Georgina KC, Sutton ON - "Claire" (Ch. Snowghosts Vanderbilt So Easy) wins BPIG #'s 38 and 39, and Group placement # 19 on her final weekend out as a puppy. Thanks again to her breeders Mike & Lee Anne Palutke for sending this Starlet our way - she's given us quite a ride!
Also at the Georgina shows, Fallon's baby brother "Pyro" (Vanderbilt Plays With Matches) takes a WD/BW for 2 points, and follows it up the next day with a WD/BW + BB over 3 Specials to finish, a cut in a VERY competitive Group, and BPIG. Not too shabby for an untrained 9 1/2 month old kid on his second weekend out. Pyro finished in 5 shows, taking the points in 4 of these, and going breed over 3 Specials twice - with a Group 4 and BPIG along the way too. Like his record-setting littersister Fallon, Pyro loves to show!

Also on this weekend ...
"Boomer" (Ch. Vanderbilt's Krash of Thunder, CD,ATCH) obtains two legs towards a new CKC Agility title. Boomer is owned by Karen Stewart. Way to go guys! And ...
"Shamus" (Ch. Vanderbilt's Moonsplitter) goes to 2 Moncton KC shows, and wins BB at both at 10+ months of age. Owner/handled by Linda Roulston. Congrats!
16th, 17th, 18th - Ottawa KC: There was a pretty decent Sammy entry at OKC this year, with Canadian, Spanish, and American kennels represented. On the 15th we didn't arrive in time to move "Pyro" (Vanderbilt Plays With Matches) to Specials, and as he was the only class dog (and therefore couldn't take points he didn't need from another dog), he competed in the following entry: 1-3-2-2. The results were "Fallon" (BIS Ch. Vanderbilt Plays The Field) BB, cut in Group, and BPIG #17 under Mr. Neil Graves (Canada), while brother "Pyro" took WD/BW + BO over the 2 male Specials.

On the 16th and 17th, (with Pyro now moved up to Specials) these two littermates three-peated their Breed level performances of "Fallon" taking BB, and "Pyro" going BOS under judges Mr. Carlos Navarre (Mexico) and Mrs. Mildred Bryant (USA) in entries of 1-3-3-3 ... though Pyro almost snatched BB from his sister under Mrs. Bryant, who commented on the exceptional type and movement of both youngsters. "Fallon" also took BPIG #18 on this weekend. Not too shabby for two babies under 10 months old!
..."setting hearts afire"
Also from Ottawa KC, congrats go out to "Roddy" (Multi BISS, BIS Can.Am.Ch. Vanderbilt's Downtown Lights) puppy daughter "Gracie" (Samovar's Amazing Grace) on her first 2 points - a WB/BW under Mrs. Bryant. Gracie was breeder/owner/handled by Myriam Mantle of Samovar Kennels.
Nov. 23/24th - No dog shows in Ontario this weekend (if you can believe!)..
Though 2002 is not yet over (and may still hold a few surprises close to her bosom!), we have set up a "Recap" page for the year here.
Nov. 27th, 2002 - This news just in about Richard Ward's Tundra (Truman x Ricki). CONGRATS Richard & Tundra!!
