January 2003
January 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th - Buffalo, NY - Kennel Clubs of Niagara Falls (2), Buffalo, and Ashtabula - - - -

The year starts with a bang!!

Our gorgeous not-quite-14 month-old girl "Claire" (Ch. Snowghosts Vanderbilt So Easy), in her first and only US shows since winning her Sweeps class at the SCA National and Best in Sweeps at the SAC National, swept the bitch points all 4 days.  Thanks to judges Marcia Foy, George Heitzman, Olivia Harvey and Vernon Harvey for finding our owner-handled girl "So Easy-ly".

"Claire"

And ...

Baby "Rev" (Vanderbilt's Rev It Up) was too young for the first day of the Buffalo shows, but strutted his fabulous little self to WD/BW the next 3 days!  And by the third day he was no longer content with BW, and took BB over Specials.  Not a bad show ring debut for a cocky 6 month old kid breeder-owner-handled.  Our thanks to the judges George Heitzman, Olivia Harvey, and Vernon Harvey for appreciating Rev, and for all the glowing comments!  It was enough to make us BLUSH!!

(Rev pictured abpove back in his own back yard the day after winning
Best of Breed over Specials at 6 months of age!)

6 months, 1 day - Thank You Olivia Harvey (followed by BB over Specials the next day under Mr. Vernon Harvey)

January 17, 18, 19 - Elgin County KC, London Ontario --

Baby "Rev" (Vanderbilt's Rev It Up) goes to his first Canadian shows at age 6 months, 1 week - and on Day 1 under judge Barbara Innes goes WD, BW for 2 pts, and BB (over our BIS Special "Fallon"!!).  On Day 2 under Mr. Adrian Landarte (Uruguay), "Rev" AGAIN goes all the way to BB + a big Group 2 (over 95 dogs) and BPIG, and later ... BPIS under Mr. Maurice Tougas.  On Day 3, under Mr. Tougas, Rev takes WD/BW/BB, cut in Group and BPIG --- and follows it up with a BPIS encore under Mr. Landarte.  Thank you judges for your confidence in this gorgeous boy!!

No dog shows in Ontario this weekend for our crew, but news in that "Shale" (Ch. Vanderbilt's Rock Anthem) won a 4 point major, entered only one day, in the Chicago area handled by her co-owner Susan Black of Hawkwind Samoyeds.  AND ... in the Halifax, NS area that cute baby girl "Spice" (Vanderbilts Ice It Up Dushanbe) went out to a match for some training, and came home with BB and a Group 2 owner-handled by Linda Johnson of Dushanbe Samoyeds.  Nice going girls!!!!!!!!!
