Halifax area Match ... Linda Johnson's new Seraphim x True Lee baby girl "Sera Lee" (Vanderbilt Dushanbe Pieceacake) makes her Match debut and struts off with a Group 2nd. Way to go Linda and Sera Lee!

November 29th - Samoyed Club of Ontario Speciaty (in conjunction with Caledon KC, Toronto ON) ... "Gemini" (Vanderbilt's Gemini O'Takenak) wins Best in Sweepstakes under breeder-judge Marge Goodenough. Gemini is owned by Shannon Haslet and Leslie Jocelyn, and was handled by the junior Shannon to the Best in Sweeps win. But the day was still young as in the regular classes of the Specialty Gemini went on to win WB, BW *AND* snatch the top prize of Best of Breed by going over an impressive field of BIS, BISS, and Group-winning Canadian and American Specials --- at just 16 months of age. WOW. Arbiter was noted International movement judge Ms. Gunnel Holme (Finland). Clearly Shannon and Gemini are another couple of rookies to put a "future watch" on! I wish I had been there to see it, but was out of the Country and got the news a little after the fact ... but it was clear the excitement had still not worn off <g> for all concerned. CONGRATULATIONS to owner/handler SHANNON AND co-owner LESLIE!!! Interesting to note is that this BISS win constituted Gemini's first points - and she was not entered in any of the additional regular shows on the Caledon weekend. Talk about a Grandstand start toward her Championship. Gemini is a full sister to our boy "Rev" (Ch. Vanderbilt's Rev It Up), Linda Johnson's girl "Spice" (Ch. Vanderbilt Ice It Up Dushance), and the Warner/Elford co-owned girl "Q" (Vanderbilt's Q It Up). These kids are 3/4 the same pedigree as "Heero" (BISS Can.Am.Ch. Vanderbilt's Warpaint)."Heero" is also a Best in Sweeps / BISS sameday winner himself - not to mention turning out to be a STUPENDOUS producer. Gemini win photos:

And on the same day in East Lansing, Michigan, at the Jaxon KC all breed show, Candace Bushouse was owner handling her Heero x Mercy baby girl "Bayleigh" (Vanderbilt Shangrla Waterpaint) to a 2 point WB/BW under j. Mr. Eugene Haupt. Bayleigh is a littersister to Linda Johnson's "Tenny" (Ch. Vanderbilt Paint Me Pretentious). We're hoping to have some recent pictures of Bayleigh soon. CONGRATULATIONS Candy and Bayleigh on these first points!
What a WONDERFUL day for the girls!
