April 3/4 - Pictou County KC, Trenton, NS - Vanderbilt's Vortex showing from the junior puppy class wins WD/BW/BB (over Special) for 2 points, then onto a big Group 2nd/BPIG for 3 more points under j. Robert Gilham.  Tex also went on to take BPIS later in the day!  The next day "Tex" took WD/BW/BB for 2 points, making it a 7 point weekend!  Congratulations and THANKS to Linda Johnson of Dushanbe Samoyeds for showing Tex so ably for us.

April 4th - Norfolk KC, Simcoe, ON - Today was the debut show for 2 of our Truman/Chyna babies at 6 months, 1 day of age ... Vanderbilt's True Light and Vanderbilt's Chyna Doll go WD/BW and WB respectively for 2 points each under j. Terry Carter - breeder/owner handled (co-bred by Candice Bushouse, Shangrila Samoyeds).

April 4th - Daegu, Korea - Korean Kennel Club - "Archie" (Ch. Vanderbilt Starcloud Atria Lee) wins BB and Group 2 under breeder-judge Annella Cooper.  Congratulations to owner Misun Lee and handler Yong-jae Lee!  Visit Archie and the other lovely Starcloud Sams here.

EASTER WEEKEND ... April 9/10/11 - Kent Kennel Club, Chatham, ON - On Day one 7 month old "Heaven" (Vanderbilt's Heaven Lee) wins WB/BW/BB (over Special) for 2 pts under j. Denys Janssen (Colombia).  On Day Two, "Heaven" again goes WB/BW/BB for 2 points +plus+ a Group 2 + BPIG for 3 more points under j. Edna Gonzales (Mexico). Day Three under j. Cesar Guiterrez (Dominican) it was the 6 month old baby boy's turn ... "Beamer" (Vanderbilt's True Light) wins WD/BW/BB (over Special) for 2 points + a cut to Group 5th! "Heaven" was also WB/BOS (over Special) for another point making it an 8 point weekend for her.  The "Truman" kids are certainly doing us proud - with help from their dams of course (Heaven - by Sera; Beamer by Chyna).

April 17/18 weekend - new points for the following dogs:

"Gemini" (Vanderbilt's Gemini O'Takenak) and "Beamer" (Vanderbilt's True Light)  go WB/BW and WD respectively at the Guelph and District KC in Guelph Ontario for 2 points each under Mr. Richard Lopaschuk.  Gemini is owned by Shannon Haslett and Leslie Jocelyn.  Also stateside - "Storm" (Donnereign Stormin' T'Reign), puppy son of "Boomer" (Ch. Vanderbilt's Krash of Thunder,CD,ADT) wins a 4 point major - congrats to breeder/owner John Donner and momma-dog Am.Ch. Donnereign Romance The Reign.

And reserve to a 4 point major for ... "Ivan" (Vanderbilt's Ivan Lee O'Alpha) from the puppy class at his first show at 6 months of age at the Pioneer Valley KC show in West Springfield, Mass under j. Ralph Ambrosio.  Ivan is owned by Lucy Ackerman, co-bred by Elfords and Candice Bushouse, and out of Truman and Chyna.

And back-to-back Group 1sts at the Edmonton Kennel Club for "Roddy" (Multi BISS,BIS Can.Am.Ch. Vanderbilt's Downtown Lights) son "Lincoln" (Multi BIS Ch. Snowghosts Hot Rod Lincoln).  Linc was breeder/owner handled by Mike Palutke.

CKC Top Dog results are out!! "Claire" (Multi BIS Can.Am.Ch. Snowghosts Vanderbilt So Easy) is #2 Sam, and "Pyro" (Multi BIS Can.Am.Ch. Vanderbilt Plays With Matches) places #5 Sam with VERY limited showing.  BIG Congrats to #1 Sam, Roddy son, "Lincoln" (Multi BIS Ch. Snowghosts Hot Rod Lincoln)



April 24th - Victoria County KC, Oakwood ON - Under j. Mr. Mike Jackman "Gemini" (Vanderbilt's Gemini O'Takenak) wins WB for 2 points.  Gemini is out of Nike x Ricki and owned by Shannon Haslet and Leslie Jocelyn.  In boys, 6 1/2 month old Truman x Chyna "Beamer" (Vanderbilt's True Light) goes WD/BW + BB over Specials for 4 points to finish and become Vanderbilt homebred Champion #60.  Beamer then went on to win BPIG under j. Mr. John Ross.  Not bad for third pick boy in his litter!  Beamer is co-bred by Candice Bushouse.  Watch for Beamer's siblings out and about this year ... "Ivan" (Vanderbilt's Ivan Lee O'Alpha - owner Ackerman), "Rush" (Vanderbilt Aimee's True Rush - owner Langlois), "Jade" (Shangrila's Jade O'Vanderbilt - cobreeder/owner Bushouse), and our own two girls "Yasmine" (Vanderbilt's Chyna Rose) and "Geisha" (Vanderbilt's Chyna Doll, ptd).

April 23/24/25 - Club Canin Rive Sud, Montreal, QC - "Roddy" (Multi BISS,BIS, Can.Am.Ch. Vanderbilt's Downtown Lights) daughter Samovar's Arctic Mist at Inooka wins WB X 3 and on the last day a BB over Specials for a 5 point weekend.  Congrats to breeder Myriam Mantle, owner Sylvie Bergeron, and dam Ch. Samovar's Deja Vu!
