Recognizing potential in an ungroomed 11 week old rugrat ...
Can you see it?
|
The FONZ @ 11 weeks
In this photo Fonz illustrates his pleasing wedge-shaped head, tapering muzzle, with small almond oblique-set eyes, moderate stop, ample underjaw, tight lip line, intense black pigment and well placed ears with correct shape and placement. Remember that puppies of 3-4 months generally have ears and feet to grow into! What we can't show you in these photographs is his strong, sound movement and sunshine personality - although this photo does give a hint to his curious nature.
|
In this shot Fonzie's "just off square" proportions are easily seen. Also evident is a generous shoulder blade/upper arm bone length/angle, sweeping hindquarters (with that rare long tib/fib), a correctly set tail, large boning, perfect topline, tuck-up, short hocks and correct hare feet. Being built this way, he SHOULD be an excellent mover, however dogs can only be partially judged from photographs. There is still no substitute for seeing the dog 'live' whether in person or on video to assess proper movement, temperament and other intangibles that are not readily or accurately discernible from photos.
