Hardy returned from his European tour in May 2008 and has been a very busy boy. At Western PA USA shows 2008 he won back to back WD/BW majors, and was WD at the Pittsburgh Samoyed Specialty in New Castle, PA + took a 2 pt win the same weekend. In March 2009 he went RWD to a 5 point major (WD was kennelmate "Bingo) at the Minuteman Samoyed Club Specialty. In April 2009 he finished his Am.Ch. with another major at Harrisburg, PA.
Hardy is a top of standard sized boy with the gorgeous front, big sidegait and strong bone of his famous father "Jasper", and with the fanciness and gorgeous type of his well known dam, "Fallon".
On the siring front, Hardy has been getting noticed! We get emails regularly from delighted breeders in Europe who are raising his progeny. Shortly after Hardy returned home, a baby girl "Uzi" was to follow. A Hardy daughter out of the lovely Cabaka's "Yunna" of McCoy. Uzi is already a Can.Ch with a Group placement and BPIS from only 2 weekends out!
Back home Hardy was bred to our gal "Secret" (co-owned with Carrie Collier) and from that litter we have retained a beautiful boy named "Corey" (Vanderbilt's Hardcore), who debuted in Canada at 7 months with 3 BB's, 2 Group placements, 2 BPIG's and a BPIS - garnering 10 points over the 3 days. Corey had his American debut a few short weeks later at the Buckeye Samoyed Specialty weekend where he was WD/BW for a 5 point major at the Specialty, and WD/BW for a 4 pt major the next day. "Corey" finished in Canada his next time out with WD/BW/BP at the SCO eastern zone Specialty under j. Ramon Podesta at 9 months of age and out of coat.
HARDY was also bred to another White Magic bitch, "Vanilla Skyy" and from that breeding a lovely girl "CC" (thanks for the great name Palmer!) has come home to roost. Her stop was fleeting however as she is now in Denmark where she is co-owned with Gitte Morell of Cabaka kennels. Good luck to CC and her lovely littermates in the US who will also be seen out and about soon! Another kid to watch for is Barbara Heal's brand new Hardy baby boy "Jack" (Polobar's Hit The Road Jack) who already has a BIM and is set to hit Prime Time soon!
Several breedings are planned here at home for Hardy in 2009. Spring plans involve breeding him to the lovely "Katzie", (Vanderbilt's Thunderkatz - Ch. Thor x Ch. Star) and the super sound "River" (Trillion x Dory). So we're hopeful for more exceptional Hardy kids aound here again soon!
