Cleveland, OH / Buckeye Samoyed Club - Congrats to both Yacker x Mercy son "Moonray" (V's Copenhagen Moon) and Yacker x Claire son "Forest" (V's Copenhagen Forest) on picking up 5 points majors with WD/BW on this Specialty weekend.  Moonray won his under breeder-judge Audrey Lycan and Forest won under Carl Gene Lieppman.  Forest was also RWD to a 4 pt major under j. Patti Widdick Neale who awarded the major to "Heero" (V's Warpaint) son Echo's Best of Both Worlds (bred by Jan Warner, out of Ch. Dec. 27/28th, 2006

Elora Gorge KC, Breslau  ON - Fonzie x Tenny baby boy "Joe" (Vanderbilt's Joe Cool) debuts with WD/BW x 2 for 2 + 2 pts under j's Carol Graham (CAN) and Teresa Gallo (ARG).  Congrats also to "Forest" (Ch. V's Copenhagen Forest) on Grp 4 under j. Carol Graham.

"Joe Cool" @ 6 months

This just in from Iiris Yliräisänen of Finland regarding success of Heero x Mercy son "Tugger" (Vanderbilt's Tug O'War), and his offspring.  Tugger is a litterbrother to "Tenny" (Vanderbilt Paint Me Pretentious), co-owned by Vanderbilt & Dushanbe kennels.  "Tenny is the dam of "Joe Cool" above, as well as our girl "Madison".

And now Iiris' report:
"Now then, again some overdue and also fresher news from Finland and other
parts of Europe.
As you probably know Tugger is on lease in the Netherlands, at kennel
Taigaro (the residence of his daughter, Vauhtitassun Johka of whom I have
written to you before). During the autumn Tugger has participated in a
couple international shows in NL and also in Belgium and has done
extremely well, indeed! Here is a short list of his winnings so far and
also the results of Johka:

Oct 2 Maastricht INT (NL), judge Mr. Doedijns, NL:
Tugger Exc 1, CAC & CACIB

Nov 6 Bleiswijk INT (NL), judge Mrs. Leila Karkas, FIN:
Tugger Exc 1, CAC & CACIB, BOB (Group 7th)
Johka Exc 1, res-CAC & res-CACIB

Nov 18 Kortrijk INT (BE), judge Mrs Barbara Brooks, USA:
Tugger Exc 1, CAC & CACIB, BOB
Johka Esc 1, CAC & CACIB (BOS)

Now Tugger needs only one more CACIB from a third FCI country to complete
his International Championship, but according to FCI rules there has to be
1 year and 1 day between the first and the last CACIB so he won't be
needing it until the end of 2007. In addition, Tugger is close to
finishing his NL Championship (and most likely his Finnish Championship).
Tugger's first litter in NL was also born this autumn, 3 boys and 2 girls
out of NL Ch Taigaro Home Sweet Home Kenai.

Tugger's kids have continued their winnings here in Finland. During the
summer e.g. Dollardance Wind of Denali (Tug x Ch Schatzave's Glacier
Breeze) gained a couple more CACs to his credit and now has altogether
three of them. We'll have to wait until he turns two next January to begin
to hunt for the finishing CAC.

In August we got a new CAC-winner in Tugger offspring. Vauhtitassun
Ikkervarri (Tug x Vauhtitassun Ettisseljan Elo) participated in her first
three shows in Kuopio in a single weekend (Aug 4/5/6, judges Mr George
Kostopoulos GR, Mrs Marion Spavin GB and Mr Peter Bailey GB), gained
Excellent in all three shows placing every time in big open class and on
Sunday won her first CAC & res-CACIB with 2nd Best Female placing. On
Sunday the bitch res-CAC went to a Tugger daughter, Dollardance Daybreak
(our BOSS) and the male CAC to her brother Dollardance Wind of Denali.

A week later, Aug 12 the first Tugger puppy finished his Championship.
Vauhtitassun I-Mitri (litterbrother to Ikkervarri above) won his last CAC
still a bit in summer coat under judge Paula Heikkinen-Lehkonen in
Sodankylä Group Show. Mitri was also BOS.
Nov 18 Mitri was entered for the first time in Champion class in big
international show in Jyväskyla (Samoyed entry was 54). The judge was Mr
Per-Harald Nymark from Norway and he definitely liked our boy. Mitri won
his first CACIB and also BOB under heavy competition as the top-winning
Samoyeds in Finland were also entered.
A couple weeks later (Dec 9/10) we travelled to southern Finland to our
capital Helsinki to participate in the biggest show in Finland and one of
the largest shows in the whole Europe (total entry over 8500), the Finnish
Winner 2006. Samoyed entry was 76 and the judge was Mr Pieter Burema, NL.
Mitri entered the working class (he gained his first working merit earlier
this autumn) and again did a wonderful job: Mitri won the males with his
2nd CACIB and gained the official title FinW-06 and in the BOB ring the
judge didn't hesitate to award us with the BOB ribbon! Now Mitri van be
titled as FIN Ch FinW-06 Vauhtitassun I-Mitri.

In October yet another Tugger kid did his part in the winnings:
Vauhtitassun Junki (the litterbrother of Johka above, Tug x Vauhtitassun
Huuve) gained his first CAC, CACIB and BOB in Oulu INT under judge Mrs
Zafra Sirik, Israel! The breed entry was 31. "Uuno" made also the first
cut (among 8 best) in the Group under judge Mrs Soile Bister, FIN."

Thanks to Iiris for sending all this fantastic news about "Tugger" and his offspring!
