"Roddy" was a standout almost from the moment he was born. Robust, vigorous, precocious - yet also a tenderheart, and "Wow, that head!". As he grew to get up on his legs we saw the true movement (now a trademark of "Boomer kids"), on this gloriously typey dog (like his Grand sire, "Ajax") - and knew we had " ... a Special". A 'real' Special.
 Our Christmas card the year of Roddy's birth was the photo of him pictured to the right taken of him in one of our gazebos amongthe red and white Impatiens. Early on he became Judi's "lap dog", and once grown up he continued to expect her to accomodate him belly-up on her knees!
Over the years we have had occasion to raise a few remarkable brother/sister teams. Probably the first notable siblings were Ajax and Neon, from that initial outcross to Wolf River in 1988. Next were the Ajax Grandkids Roddy, and his sister Shale. Currently we have two baby half-sibs (same dam) to Roddy and Shale that we are also very excited about from an outcross to the Snowghost line with our Wolf River-bred bitch Mesa - namely, Nike and "Fancy". ...to finish in 6 shows in 2000/2001, with all majors (4,3,5,5), under all breeder-judges and/or at large Specialties. The 2 shows where Roddy did not garner points were the 2000 National (where he placed 3rd in Open Dog ~ 40+ entries, and won WD/BW (5 pts) at PVSC Specialty the next day), and Sam Assoc. of Madison (where he took RWD, and went on to BW (5 pts) at the Milwauke Specialty the next day). THAT'S consistency!
