These two girls, now affectionately known as "TEAM PINK" are HOT!
11th, 12th, 13th - Nipissing KC, Trout Creek, ON - the "Team Pink" baby girls "split" the show time and the "BABY BLUES", and garner the following awards: "Claire" (Ch. Snowghosts Vanderbilt So Easy) ... 35th & 36th BPIG, 13th & 14th BPIS, a Group 3, and a Group 2; "Fallon" (BIS Ch. Vanderbilt Plays The Field) ... 14th & 15th BPIG, 7th & 8th BPIS, and a Group 4.
October 16th-19th - Samoyed Club of America National Specialty, Carlisle, PA - "Team Pink" strikes again, this time in the mud and pouring rain, to see "Fallon" (BIS Ch. Vanderbilt Plays The Field) win 1st in the 6-9 month puppy bitch class (entry 29), and "Claire" (Ch. Snowghosts Vanderbilt So Easy) win 1st in the 9-12 month puppy bitch class (entry 14) in Sweepstakes under judge Mr. Dennis Collins.
Other SCA conformation accomplishments include ... Congrats to "Sophie" (Vanderbilt's Weisblitz Sapphire - Sir x Shale - owned by Will Carle & Ken/Ruth Ann Alrick - Handled by Ken Alrick) who placed 2nd in the Open Bitch class (entry 38) - out of coat! Congrats also to Rocky daughter, "Indigo" (Multi BISS,AOM Ch. Hawkwind's Dark Side of The Moon - bred/owned/handled by Susan Black - dam BISS Am.Ch. Omni Charisma Front Page News) on her AOM for the second consecutive year - and this girl is only 2 years old!
In performance events ... "Boomer" (Ch. Vanderbilt's Krash of Thunder, ATCH - owner/handler Karen Stewart) and "Pingu" (Kipmetna's Dreamchaser - a Ch. Vanderbilt's Break The Limit x Ch. Kipmetna Valkyrie O'Vanderbilt kid - owner/handled by Judith Wasserfall, DVM) both won their respective Agility classes. Way to go Ping & Booms!!
Congrats also to other Vanderbilt's and relatives that made the cuts, placed, and otherwise had fun and were openly admired by many. Just being there and sharing our Sams with the critical eye of "the fancy", not just the judges, was a huge thrill and what really counted for most of us. The wins are just gravy.
October 26th-27th - Belleville KC, Belleville ON - Three of the "Vanderbilt kids" go out to play and get noticed!!
"Heero" (BISS Can.Am.Ch. Vanderbilt's Warpaint) comes out just for the HEALTHGENE Breeder's Match and scores Runnerup to one of the top dogs in the Country at only 16 months of age. Point gap - 1. Judges Glen Stark, Nancy Tibbins, Gerona MacCuaig. Entry 50.
"Claire" (Ch. Snowghosts Vanderbilt So Easy) wins Best in Sweepstakes (All Breed) under j. Anik Primmeau. Entry 72.
And last but not least, "Fallon's" litterbrother "Pyro" (Vanderbilt Plays With Matches) debuts at 9 months of age to win WD/BW for 1 point at his very first show - which turned out to only be a warm-up for his second show where he took WD/BW and BB over 3 Specials. This beautiful boy likes dog shows SO much that he continued to shine in Group and netted a Group 4 placement to finish off the day with 4 points, and 5 in total for the weekend.
